Author Biography


Mr. Chanowitz is a former Intelligence Analyst, who has worked at the Terrorist Threat Integration Center (TTIC) and the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC). At the NCTC and TTIC, Mr. Chanowitz was sited for making important contributions to integrated intelligence assessments regarding terrorism and terrorist threats to United States homeland and United States interests globally. He drafted intelligence assessments for the top policy makers in the US in the Presidential Daily Brief. He also received a TTIC Intelligence Medallion from then TTIC Acting Director and future CIA Director/NCTC Director for his work.


Mr. Chanowitz was an internationally published feature writer in the 1990s for “Monitoring Times Magazine” and “Satellite Times Magazine” covering international radio and satellite broadcasting and has worked as a freelance writer in the Nordic Countries. For two years, Mr. Chanowitz was the Radio Service Coordinator in Washington DC for the National Republican Congressional Committee, where he worked with US Congressmen, Senators, and a United States President. He also possesses a decade of experience writing legal decisions for immigration and visa-related benefits for the United States government, which includes having worked as an Asylum Officer/Refugee Officer having interviewed refugees in Africa and Europe at United States Embassies, Consulates, and within United Nations-controlled refugee camps He also worked for Radio Free Europe. He speaks at various levels of fluency in Finnish, Russian, Spanish, and Hebrew. Mr. Chanowitz has written two novels, "Russia Rising" and "Return to Little Russia." He is presently working on a third novel and sequel to "Russia Rising" entitled, "Kiev Station." Mr. Chanowitz's novels were highlighted in Jewishbookworld.org, Florida&Us magazine (Russian Language), and the largest circulation newspaper in Finland (HS.fi).

Also of note, Mr. Chanowitz was also interviewed on Radio Romania international in 1992 related to international broadcasting, he voiced radio commercials for Congressmen/Senators and TV commercials (Northern Michigan tourism) at the NRCC, and have successfully completed 30 road races (marathons, half marathons, ten milers, 12K, and 10K) globally. He lives with family. He also speaks Hebrew, Russian, and Finnish at various levels of fluency.
